At Crescent International, the safety, privacy, and dignity of every student is our highest obligation.
Crescent International holds the privacy and safety of our students to the highest possible standard. We believe that a child's right to privacy is foundational — not a box to be checked, but a value embedded in every decision we make as a school.
From the way we store academic records, to the way we manage photographs, to the fact that our campus location is not publicly disclosed, every policy we operate under is designed with one question in mind: does this protect our students?
We comply fully with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and exceed its requirements in numerous areas. This page explains in plain language exactly what we collect, why we collect it, how it is protected, and the rights that every family holds.
The exact location of Crescent International is not publicly disclosed. This is a deliberate and considered decision made to protect the safety of our students and their families.
Campus directions and access instructions are shared exclusively with:
Requests for campus location from unverified parties will not be fulfilled. If you are a family member or have a legitimate need, please contact us directly.
Grades, attendance, learning assessments, teacher notes, and progress reports. Held for the duration of enrolment and for seven years thereafter, as required by UAE education regulations.
Full legal name, date of birth, Emirates ID / passport number, nationality, UAE residency visa details, and proof of residence documentation — required for KHDA registration and UAE Ministry of Education compliance.
Medical conditions, allergies, emergency contacts, and health action plans. Shared only with school medical staff and, in an emergency, with relevant healthcare providers. Parents may access and update these records at any time.
Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and home emirate. Used solely for school communication and emergency contact purposes. Never used for marketing without explicit written consent.
We never publish identifiable photographs of students on public platforms, social media, or this website without explicit, written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Internal use of photographs (e.g. in school newsletters distributed only to enrolled families) requires separate annual consent. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
All digital student records are stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems hosted in UAE-based data centres. Access to student data is granted only to staff members who have a direct educational need and who have completed our mandatory data protection training.
Our IT infrastructure is subject to annual third-party security audits. Paper records are held in locked, access-controlled filing systems and destroyed securely when no longer required.
We operate a strict clean desk and clear screen policy across all administrative areas. Staff who handle sensitive data are bound by confidentiality clauses in their employment contracts.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any student or family data to third parties under any circumstances.
In limited circumstances, we may share information with:
The Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA), Ministry of Education, and other statutory bodies as required by UAE law. We will notify families wherever possible before disclosures of this kind.
In a genuine medical or safety emergency, relevant health information will be shared with responding medical professionals. We will inform parents immediately.
Academic transcripts and references are shared with institutions to which a student is applying, only with the explicit written authorisation of the student's parent or legal guardian.
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and in accordance with our own commitments, every parent and legal guardian of an enrolled student has the right to:
